In chapter 11, students examined six prominent colonists, who were either Loyalists or Patriots, and we discussed their differing points of view. Students then wrote paragraphs about what a Loyalist and Patriots were, what they believed and why. They then wrote a paragraph explaining which they would choose to be, a Loyalist, a Patriot, or maybe one of the neutral colonists, who agreed, and disagreed, with both sides. Here are some examples:
